I'm with stupid

If I had a strapline it would probably read:

Mary - does not suffer fools gladly

Don't get me wrong I am not immune to acts of foolishness. In fact I have a huge back catalogue of misdemeanours that highlight exactly just what kind of an idiot I really am. But I wouldn't like to delve too deeply into it and discredit myself entirely. However I will tell you that I once went to work with odd shoes on. Surely this is an easy mistake to make, and everyone has done it at some point right?
You see it's quite easily done.

Some people really are incredulously stupid though and I find it highly amusing. I was watching Crimewatch last night and they mentioned a criminal who having seen his mug-shot featured on the programme, drove over a hundred miles from his home and handed himself in at the BBC television centre. What on earth was this man thinking? Why did he not just hand himself in at his local police station where he was wanted? I wonder if he asked for Nick Ross at reception?

I also read in the paper about a person who called a supermarket helpline to complain that he'd just opened his pizza to find that it didn't have any topping on it. The advisor on the other end of the phone suggested that he may have opened the box upside down. On turning it over the dissatisfied customer found their pepperoni topping. What a numpty!

Anybody care to share what their strapline would be?

On a totally different subject I would like to thank David Mcmahon of Authorblog for choosing my Vote random post as one of his posts of the day on June 2nd. I was on the toilet when I read the email letting me know. I'm so busy I often take the laptop with me when I pop to the loo, us women are so good at multi-tasking. I’m not sure how he found me but I understand that this is quite an accolade and I’m bloody delighted.

That's so funny. I can laugh because I've gone to work in odd shoes before too :-)

How long where you in there for then?

You're not turning into a bloke are you?

My Hubby & sons are in there for hours; reading, writing, doing crosswords.
